Italian Lucite, is an acrylic resin, . It is denser and heavier than normal plastic. Like Bakelite, it is a thermoset plastic. It can be tinted almost any color of the rainbow, from transparent to opaque. Italian Lucite is odorless. Higher-end pens are often made with Italian Lucite.

Most Italian Lucite is translucent and we highly recommend that you  back paint the blank and paint the tube, you can get one color blank with the proper back painting give you several different looks.
